Our people

The Office Executive provides the leadership necessary for the Audit Office to achieve its strategic direction and goals, maintain its services and comply with relevant laws, codes and direction. The Office Executive is chaired by the Auditor-General and draws on the expertise of other staff and taskforces when required.

Bola Oyetunji, Auditor-General

Bola Oyetunji has extensive executive leadership experience in strategy formulation, governance, data analytics, finance, accounting, and auditing at all levels of government. 

He holds an honours degree in economics and a master’s of commerce degree in finance. He is also a qualified CPA and a graduate member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

In his early career, Bola gained valuable industry experience at two of the ‘Big Four’ accounting firms, honing his skills in client management over five years. 

He joined the Audit Office of New South Wales in 2001 as a Director in the Financial Audit Branch, and over the following 16 years he solidified and deepened his knowledge of the state’s public sector, overseeing the superannuation, insurance and finance industries. 

In 2018 Bola was appointed Senior Executive Director at the Australian National Audit Office in Canberra, and in 2021 was made Group Executive Director. 

Bola became Auditor-General for New South Wales in April 2024.

Claudia Migotto, Deputy Auditor-General

Claudia brings a wealth of public sector managerial and senior leadershipexperience across a range of New South Wales and Commonwealth Government agencies including the National Mental Health Commission, the COAG Reform Council, NSW Ministry of Health, and the Commonwealth Department of Health and Ageing.  

She has also worked in a consulting capacity for the Asian Development Bank. Claudia holds Masters Degrees in Public Policy and Public Health, a Bachelor of Arts with First Class Honours, and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.  

Claudia joined the Audit Office in January 2016 and was promoted to the role of Assistant Auditor-General Performance Audit in August 2017. She oversaw the delivery of more than 140 performance audit reports during her tenure in the role. She has been acting in the Deputy Auditor-General role since May 2024.

Scott Stanton, Assistant Auditor-General, Head of Systems Assurance, Cyber and Data

Scott joined the Audit Office in 1987 and has significant experience leading the delivery of financial audit services to diverse public sector auditees, including those in the transport, electricity and university sectors. From 1 January 2023, Scott leads the Systems Assurance, Cyber and Data Branch, which seeks to respond through our audits to the pervasive risks and opportunities associated with Information Technology, and the growing availability of large amounts of data within the NSW public sector. Scott has previously served on CPA Australia’s NSW Divisional Council and is a past chair of CPA Australia’s NSW Public Sector Committee.

Scott holds a bachelor’s degree in commerce, is a fellow CPA and a graduate member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Aaron Green, Assistant Auditor-General, Head of Financial Audit 

Aaron joined the Audit Office in 1999 and was appointed Assistant Auditor-General in January 2019.  He is a Bachelor of Commerce and Chartered Accountant.

Aaron has significant experience in leading the delivery of audit services to a diverse range of public sector auditees including those in the education, university and local government sectors. Aaron now leads our financial audits in the state government sector.

Alison Brown, Assistant Auditor-General, Financial Audit

Alison joined the Audit Office in 2007, having previously worked in audit and finance roles in both the private and public sectors. Prior to joining the Audit Office, she worked at the Australian National Audit Office, Westpac and KPMG’s Orange County Office in California.

Alison is a Bachelor of Commerce, Fellow of the Chartered Accountant Australia and New Zealand, and a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Alison leads our financial audits in the local government sector. She serves on the Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand Trans‑Tasman Audit Advisory Committee and contributes strongly to the profession, the sector and the community through her roles on boards and advisory panels.

Renee Meimaroglou, Assistant Auditor-General, Financial Audit 

Having worked in the NSW public service for nearly 20 years, mostly with the Audit Office including in the position of Lead Director in the Financial Audit Branch, Renee Meimaroglou’s experience has included overseeing audits of the NSW total state sector accounts and agencies within the electricity, health and university sectors. 

Renee now leads the Audit Office’s sustainability and climate change reporting as well as the Government Sector Audit mandate for the Auditor-General to consider wastage of public resources.

She holds an Executive Master of Public Administration, is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a qualified Chartered Accountant. Renee is currently the Vice Chair of the CAANZ Public Sector Advisory Panel.

Susie Harwood, Assistant Auditor-General, Performance Audit

Susie has extensive and highly-regarded public sector leadership experience, including at the Premier’s Department as the Executive Director, Strategic Implementation, at the Department of Enterprise, Investment and Trade as the Executive Director Strategic Projects, and at Transport for NSW as the Executive Director, Freight. She has also worked as a non-executive board director and solicitor, and was admitted as a solicitor to the Supreme Court in 2006. 

Susie has a Bachelor of Laws/Bachelor of Art Theory and History, a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice, and a Diploma in Financial Services. She was appointed as Assistant Auditor-General Performance Audit in January 2025.

Simon Black, Acting Executive Director, Corporate, Experience and Strategy

Simon has over 20 years’ experience in the public and private sector, the majority of that time has been in financial services. Prior to joining the Audit Office, Simon worked with NSW Treasury Corporation (TCorp) in the role of Head of IT Strategy and Governance. 

Simon Black joined the Audit Office as Chief Information Officer in December 2021 and was appointed to Acting Executive Director, Corporate, Experience and Strategy in December 2024. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Software Engineering.

Peter Coulogeorgiou, Executive Director, Quality, Improvement and Performance

Peter Coulogeorgiou has over 25 years experience in audit and finance roles.

Peter’s early career was in financial audit, leading the delivery of audit services to a diverse range of public sector clients including those in the health, transport and central agencies sector. Peter then moved into senior finance roles. He is a fellow of CPA Australia and is currently the Deputy Chair of CPA Australia’s NSW Public Sector Committee. 

Peter originally joined the Audit Office in 2003 and after leaving to work in other areas of the NSW public sector, returned in 2016. He was appointed as Chief Financial Officer in April 2017 prior to his appointment as Executive Director, Finance and Performance in March 2023.
