Information Guide

The Audit Office is committed to maintain and advance a system of responsible and representative democratic government that is open, accountable, fair and effective by providing access to government information, in accordance with the Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009 (the GIPA Act). The GIPA Act focuses on making government information more readily available to the public. This means the Audit Office must release information unless there is an overriding public interest against doing so.

Our Information Guide outlines the:

•    role and functions of the Audit Office
•    types of information we hold
•    ways in which we make our information publicly available
•    ways that members of the public and other agencies can interact with us.
