The $334 million Regional Roads Fund (RRF) is a NSW Government election commitment, and Transport for NSW (TfNSW) is responsible for administering the fund.  

This audit is assessing whether TfNSW designed and implemented the RRF grants program in compliance with the Grants Administration Guide, key principles of the administration of public expenditure and relevant legislative requirements.

The focus of the audit is on grants awarded to 19 local councils for council-led projects.  

The Regional Roads Fund was selected for audit as part of our continuing focus on the administration of grants.
