Overview

The Government Advertising Act 2011 requires the Auditor-General to undertake a performance audit of the activities of one or more government agencies in relation to government advertising campaigns in each financial year.

This audit will examine whether activities relating to the Cancer Institute NSW’s anti-tobacco and anti-vaping campaigns were carried out effectively, economically, and efficiently and in compliance with the Government Advertising Act 2011, associated regulations, other laws and the Government advertising guidelines.
