Education 2018 19 December 2018 Education The Auditor-General for New South Wales, Margaret Crawford, released her report today on the results of the financial audits of agencies in the Education cluster. The report focuses on key observations and findings from the most recent financial audits of these agencies. 'I am pleased to report that unqualified audit opinions were issued on the financial statements of both agencies in the Education cluster', the Auditor-General said. Statements were submitted and audited within statutory deadlines. There were twenty audit findings on internal controls. Forty per cent of these were repeat findings, the more significant issue related to inconsistencies in annual and long service leave balances. The Department of Education’s Learning Management and Business Reform (LMBR) program has now been fully delivered. ‘The focus should now be on realising the benefits of this significant investment’, the Auditor-General said.
