More than numbers... 200 years of audit impact

Parliament House: March 4 – 28 2024

The bicentenary exhibition of the Audit Office of New South Wales titled ‘More than numbers, 200 years of audit impact’ was hosted at NSW Parliament House from 4 – 28 March 2024 by the Hon Ben Franklin, President of the Legislative Council, and ​the Hon Greg Piper, Speaker of the Legislative Assembly. The exhibition showcased the profession of auditing, and some of the diverse and impactful audits undertaken over the years. From handwritten colonial accounts of livestock and convicts, through to contemporary and emerging approaches to auditing the public sector, the exhibition brought to life the evolution of the Audit Office of New South Wales that’s shaped how Parliament holds government to account in the state.
