Government advertising

The Government Advertising Act 2011 (the Act) requires the Auditor-General to conduct a performance audit in relation to at least one government advertising campaign in each financial year. The performance audit assesses whether advertising campaigns were carried out effectively, economically and efficiently and in compliance with the Act, the regulations, other laws and the Government Advertising Guidelines. This audit will examine two campaigns:

  • TAFE NSW’s Semester 1 2018 recruitment campaign
  • the Green Slip reform campaign run by the State Insurance Regulatory Authority.

The audit is expected to table in December 2018.

Progress and measurement of the Premier's Priorities

The NSW Government has established 12 Premier's Priorities to tackle important issues for the people of NSW using a whole-of-government delivery-focused approach led by the Premier's Implementation Unit.  This audit will assess whether the Premier's Implementation Unit is effective in advancing the Premier's Priorities and reporting progress to the public.
