As Deputy Auditor-General, Tony leads the Audit Office financial audit function and corporate services.
Prior to joining the Audit Office Tony spent 29 years in the private sector of which 17 years were as an Audit Partner in a 'Big 4' accounting firm. During that period he was responsible for the delivery of audit and other services to a portfolio of clients consisting of multi-national, national and individual companies in a variety of industries including manufacturing, pharmaceutical, consumer electronics, construction, heavy engineering, technological, property development, distribution and mining. In addition, Tony was responsible for audit technology within the firm and has had overseas experience in the USA.
