Governance Lighthouse

A lighthouse is a symbol of good governance. It shines a light on the right way forward and warns of danger before it hits. This is the essence of good public sector governance: keeping agencies on the right track and sounding an alarm before things could go wrong.

The governance lighthouse concept was first published in the Auditor-General's Report Parliament Volume Two 2011 and includes more detail on the 17 points of governance (based on the eight ASX Corporate Governance Principles).
